The product is chosen for the environment and the manner of use for which that model has been specified. Indoor and outdoor use, the number of users, the waste fraction and the emptying rhythm are not deduced from the appearance.

An inspection interval and a responsible person are defined for the site. The inspection records the product model, the location, the manner of use, visible damage, a loosened or missing part, the legibility of the markings and any change that hinders maintenance. The points to be checked are chosen according to the structure of the model; not all products have the same lids, wheels, inner bins or bag systems.
Cleaning and other maintenance are carried out according to the model-specific instructions of the manufacturer. The method, the chemical or the tool is not chosen on the basis of a general assumption about the material. The inspection carried out, the maintenance and any change observed are added to the service history of the product.

A photograph is taken of the damaged point and the model of the product, the identifier, the time of purchase or delivery, the operating environment and the situation in which the damage arose are recorded. Sortaider confirms whether the part is covered by the warranty, whether it can be repaired, whether a compatible replacement part is available or whether another solution is needed.
The product is not drilled, re-glued, dismantled or modified without model-specific instructions. A wrong part or an unauthorised modification may affect safety, the structure and the warranty. The decision and the part used are documented before the product is taken back into use.

The warranty stated on the checked live pages of Sortaider product models is two years. The warranty defines the responsibilities of the seller and the buyer during the warranty terms, but it is not the same as the technical service life of the product.
The product may remain in use after the warranty period if its structure, parts and safety of use are in order and maintenance has been carried out according to the instructions. Equally, the warranty does not mean that a product placed in the wrong environment, used incorrectly or modified without permission would be compensated without limit. The scope of the warranty is always decided on the basis of the valid sales and warranty terms and a case-specific inspection.
The service life of recycling bins and waste bins is documented before a replacement decision
Before the whole product is replaced, at least the product model, the place of use, the age, the service history, a description of the damage, photographs, a safety assessment and information on the availability of a compatible part are collected. In this way repair, replacement of a part and replacement of the product can be assessed with the same information.
If a suitable part and confirmed replacement instructions are available, the decision can be limited to the damaged point. If the part is not available, the damage affects the safe use of the product or the repair cannot be confirmed, the product is taken out of use until Sortaider has provided a solution.
