One waste fraction is determined for each waste bin, corresponding to the property’s own collection system. Eight waste fractions can be chosen: mixed waste, plastic packaging, biowaste, paper and cardboard, deposit packaging, glass packaging, metal and energy waste.
Several single-fraction Sorta waste bins can be placed side by side. Each bin then keeps its own waste name, colour and pictogram. Waste names or identifiers that conflict with each other are not added to one waste bin.

The Sorta 60 l model has one 60 litre inner bin and a 75 litre waste sack for it. The Sorta 90 l model has one 90 litre inner bin and a 100 litre waste sack for it. Both volumes are available in brown and white.
The volume is chosen on the basis of the number of visitors, the actual accumulation of the chosen waste fraction, the space available and the agreed emptying rhythm. A lobby, a corridor or a waiting area is not automatically tied to one size class. The dimensioning is checked during use on the basis of actual filling.

In a public space the placement must not narrow the passage or the exit route, cover signs or prevent the use of doors, furniture and accessible passage.
