Indoor recycling bins Ecolong for Longopac, waste sack and bag-free use
Indoor recycling bins Ecolong form a sorting point for 2–5 waste fractions from compartments of 60 or 90 litres. The range is intended for shopping centres, hotels, airports, museums and other shared indoor spaces where the waste fractions are to be collected in one marked whole.
In Ecolong the same compartment can be taken into use with the Longopac Mini system, with an ordinary waste sack or, for a chosen dry waste fraction, without a bag. This guide helps you determine the waste fractions, the size, the collection method and the location before choosing an individual model.
Indoor recycling bins Ecolong for 2–5 waste fractions
The Ecolong model is chosen according to the number of waste fractions that are really collected separately in the property. A model with two compartments serves two and a model with five compartments at most five separately named waste fractions. The collected fractions can be, for example, mixed waste, biowaste, plastic packaging, cardboard packaging, paper or bottles according to the property’s own waste management system.
Each compartment is given one clear name and identifier. The markings of the sorting point correspond to the waste management instructions of the property and to the collection containers into which the content is emptied. The number of compartments is not increased just because of free space if there is no separate collection of its own for every compartment.
Indoor recycling bins Ecolong with 60 and 90 litre compartments
The Ecolong range includes eight 60 litre and eight 90 litre models. Both size classes have brown and white options for 2–5 waste fractions. The volume is stated as the volume of one compartment, so a four-part 60 litre model, for example, has four separate 60 litre compartments.
The size class is chosen on the basis of the number of users, the accumulation of the different waste fractions, the space available and the agreed emptying rhythm. All waste fractions do not fill up at the same speed, so the dimensioning is checked with the information of the place of use and later on the basis of actual filling. A particular type of building is not automatically tied to the 60 or 90 litre option.
Indoor recycling bins Ecolong with three collection methods
Longopac Mini is a continuous bag system in which a new bag section is taken into use from the system’s own bag cassette. When an ordinary waste sack is used, the sack is placed in the compartment with the help of a foldable bag holder. A suitable dry waste fraction, such as paper or cardboard, can also be collected without a bag when the waste management instructions of the site allow it.
The collection method is determined for each waste fraction according to its content, the waste management of the property and the agreed emptying method. Bag-free collection is not presented as a general solution for biowaste, mixed waste or other content that can wet or soil the compartment. Without site-specific information the text does not promise a particular saving of time, material or maintenance costs.
Indoor recycling bins Ecolong are placed according to the maintenance route
The sorting point is placed in a visible place close to the area where the waste is generated. The bin must not narrow the passageway, cover signs or prevent the use of doors and other furniture. The names and identifiers of the waste types are set in the viewing direction of the user.
Ecolong has front doors and lockable wheels. Space is left in front of the bin for opening the door, for removing the waste sack or the collected content and for cleaning the surfaces. The wheels are locked at the place of use and released only for controlled moving.
The products are delivered glued, fully assembled and packed. The first waste bags are included, so commissioning does not require assembling the bin at the site.
Indoor recycling bins from the Ecolong range
Once the number of waste fractions, the volume of the compartment, the collection method, the colour and the location have been defined, the next step is choosing a suitable model. In the Recycling bins Ecolong for indoor spaces category you can compare brown and white 60 and 90 litre models for 2–5 waste fractions, prices and product information.
