Sales Office Recycling Bin became part of our daily routine after the sales team moved into a shared office where customer calls, meetings and proposal work happened throughout the day. Coffee cups, printed quotations, delivery packaging and empty bottles regularly appeared around desks as people moved quickly from one client conversation to the next.

At first, recyclable materials often stayed on desks until there was a quiet moment to tidy up. During busy sales periods, printed documents that were no longer needed mixed with active paperwork, while bottles and takeaway packaging collected beside workstations.

We originally assumed employees would recycle everything when leaving for lunch or at the end of the day. Instead, the sales team spent most of the day moving between calls, meetings and customer visits, so recycling was often postponed.

We introduced a dedicated recycling bin directly inside the sales office so paper, bottles and everyday packaging could be sorted immediately without interrupting the flow of work.

Within a few days, desks remained clearer, shared tables stayed ready for customer meetings and recyclable materials disappeared as soon as they were no longer needed instead of accumulating around the office.

One salesperson remarked that preparing for the next client meeting became easier because the workspace stayed organised throughout the day. The office layout and daily routines had not changed. The only difference was that recycling was available exactly where the work happened.

That experience showed us that a sales office moves at a fast pace, with people constantly switching between conversations, paperwork and meetings. When recycling is integrated into that environment, keeping the workspace organised becomes part of the daily workflow instead of something postponed until later.
